Lorekeeper Green approaches...

Ooh yeah. I sometimes RP an advanced version of the 'Green' character from pokemon (not Garry Oak; The girl who was kidnapped by Ho-Oh and later raised in the criminal underworld!).

Anyway. I actually turned 22 yesterday. I've been playing pokemon intermittently for about 12 of those years. I remember when I was very young seeing the older kids going around with their Game Boys and Game Boy Colors later, thinking they were so cool. It took me years to convince my parents to let me in on the action. Fast-forward some years and the nagging paid off. When I'm not studying or doing other important things, I spent a lot of my rec' time on pokemon. Last year I started getting into the breeding game seriously, and in the last few months I've learned to raise terrifying pokemon, and have participated in my first official tournament. I have every intention of continuing to participate in the tethered ones available via the Global Link, in addition to the occasional local competition held at game stores and any extra battles I can source from Reddit and forums such as this one.

Secondary purposes for my registration here are to collaborate with other breeders, participate in more informed Q&A (I sometimes seek very situational information, and I also like teaching what I know), and also just to chat about the games in general and those who play them, as I'm sure you're all probably a great bunch of people. I also had a strong art interest in a previous time (still do, just don't practice any more), so I'm always more than happy to critique your work for lore-accuracy or technical skill, as well as offer suggestions.

I'm secretly hoping this forum can be my new niche. It seems to be a viable candidate for some of my time. I often spend a month or so on a forum before loosing interest, usually the people are deliberately annoying or rude, or I just don't get out of the community what I thought I would. Next step: To lurk aimlessly to gain an understanding of the people who frequent this forum and if any of them have similar goals to my own.

Thanks for the welcome Steve and Slix. I'm already feeling nostalgic just being here. Once I've my current competitive team finished (maybe a week) I'd love to get into character. It might inspire me to flesh it out a bit more.
