True, but everyone has heard of the Beatles. Coldplay wasn't really as popular until the ads, so I agree with that, but as you said, the Beatles are a big band. They shouldn't need advertisement.

As for your second point, Michael Jackson was, at one point, more popular then the Beatles. He probably still is. I'm defiantly not saying The Beatles aren't popular, because they are.

I think the Beatles are over-popular. They are so popular people don't like their music because it's so over-used.

Are you kidding me? There's hundreds of Beatles songs! The songs that are overplayed are the ones on radio stations that don't mix it up at all. (Same 40 songs over and over)

Yeah, and because that's all they ever hear, they come to believe that that is all the Beatles ever made. It's quite sad :(

How did he own any of them? He was born only about 5 years before The Beatles made it big.
