Apparently there are some viruses going around that can jump over your security if you're a Firefox user. (Haven't seen it myself, but I know a few people who've had problems.)

So... If you use Firefox I'd recommend switching to something else. I just switched to Chrome personally, and it's actually pretty cool.

Another reason why Firefox isn't usually the best option. xP

It is a good option if you're not on a Mac. But Chrome is the safest on any platform. I use it rarely though. Its slower than FF on my comp

Opera is good too. That's for any platform, including Linux.

You can't believe everything you hear about.

Doesn't mean the viruses didn't exist. More likely you just didn't go to any suspicious sites.

Yes but now you are contradicting the claim that the virus had been attached to Firefox. If it came from a site than anyone with any browser can contract it.

Not a contradiction actually. The danger of it was that if you get it it can affect you more easily through Firefox, not that you get it FROM Firefox itself.
