In FireRed, near the Cerulean cottage, wasn't there a couple that you basically ruined their relationship because you're "so strong"? Like, the girl takes interest in you and the guy is all jealous because you're stronger? I feel like that was a thing.
Also, I laughed out loud in X/Y when a trainer in Victory Road said after all his training, "My body is ready!", referencing that Reggie meme.
