I'm thinking about starting a Mudkip only run of Emerald (No evolving, only using mudkip) and would like to see if others here have thought of doing the same thing or have already done it

Attempted, but... my Torchic wasn't good enough on its own

We have a topic or two already about this. You can check those.

I like building teams mostly, but I've done a single-pokemon runthrough of yellow once, using only the starting Pikachu.

I always did that as I was younger (Seriously... I feel old if I say that) that means I did that in Pokémon Red, Gold and I guess in Ruby too. I always used only the Starter-Pokémon there.
But starting with Pearl I always trained a team, Because just one single Pokémon became kinda boring.
