What was the first starter you used ever? I recall using Charmander in Pokemon Blue, my first game.

I can't remember... My brother and I had to share our first game, but neither of us had any clue what we were doing and I don't have much memory of that, but I know it was blue version. My first starter that I actually remember was probably a Pikachu in Yellow Version.

Charmander in Red Version at 5 years old, September of 1998. It was just after the release of the first Pokemon games to North America, and an early birthday present.
As a 5/6 year old I lacked the strategy to get past the early gyms with the little fire lizard.

Charmander in Red, I don't remember when, so don't ask
Then I realized that Charmander was too hard in the early gyms so I switched to Squirtle.

Wow, you've still got your original starter? That's cool in a sentimental sort of way. You should hang onto the guy.

My sister got a Sapphire version when I was... dunno, pretty young. Since I didn't have my own, she let my start a new file, under the condition that I didn't save over her file. Needless to say, I played the first hour or so of that game more times than I'd care to admit. I could probably recite the first 20 minutes by heart... I've still got my original Mudkip from my own Ruby, though.
Oh yeah, math homework.
