Honestly, I don't know enough about PHP to do much with complex stuff on there. I just do the basics. If you know some PHP and would like to help, that'd be great.
The chance is around 1%. There are currently about 10 on the site so far.

And I wish, I could attempt to do basic stuff but I havent touched much PHP code in over a year.

Bummer. Well, if you want to help, let me know.
I just updated the adoptables to fix some minor things. I took out the Promo link, since it was useless anyways, and I finally got around to making the shelter not show Pokémon that you released. So they're actuallu released from you.

I will. But the way the adopt links work now (to prevent hacking whatever Pokemon you want), the promo codes don't work properly. So I'll use another method to release them.

I'm still working on getting Promos to work properly. Right now if you adopt a promo, there's no limit on how many you can adopt. That needs to be fixed before it goes live.
In the meantime, more Pokemon have been added, including Porygon, Blitzle, Cyndaquil, Bellsprout, the 5th gen starters, Meowth, and many more. I'm still taking requests if there's any you want to see.
I made a FAQ page for anyone that wants to know something about the Adoptables. There is now a few limits added. You may only have 6 eggs at a time, and you cannot release eggs or adopt your own released Pokemon. These are pretty minor, but I'm working on making this a bit better piece by piece.
EDIT - 4/16/11: I made a big update to the myadopts.php page, which shows your Pokémon. It now shows everything at a glance, showing total clicks, and links to manage them.

Hey Slix is there any way to prevent evolution? Because I don't want my Poliwhirl to evolve but I still want it to gain clicks. Or is freezing it the only way?

Yes. Freezing still gets you clicks. I need to change that text in there...
