So if I breed 2 Pokemon from the shelter, is the resulting egg my egg or the previous owner's egg? I mean, will the OT appear as the OT of the parents, or will the OT be me?

I believe it will have you as the original owner, but you could try it just to make sure if you wanted.

Maybe, maybe not. It is a lot, but Slix probably wanted to do this because it shouldn't be easy to get.
