Ever Lose a Shiny?

In a study hall class I was in a few years ago, I was in the Safari Zone on a LeafGreen playthough I was doing. A shiny Nidoran Female appeared, I threw a Safari Ball, and it ran away right after that...

The first shiny I came across was a shiny hariyama. KO'ed it without the realization that shinies existed.

Yes, well not exactly, but a shiny Patrat came up while Professor Juniper was doing her demonstration of catching Pokemon.

I've only ever seen one Shiny... That being a Poochyena on Emerald... And I lost the save to that.

I have seen shiny Pidgey and Geodude but it so weak that my Swampert kill them

About a month ago in Friend Safari a Shiny Quilladin appeared, I hadn't checked its moveset so I False Swiped it, the next turn I threw a Premier Ball which failed, right after that it used Take Down and killed itself.
Also while RNGing Shiny Rayquaza multiple RNG's resulted in it killing itself via confusion after outrage, that was rather annoying.

When I was new to Pokémon, when I battled Zekrom, it was shiny.. I pressed L+R+Start+Select thinking it was a glitch, and I didn't know it was super-rare until I found out shinies exist...
