I only nickname them when it seems fit

I came up witha few for black/white. (look the pictures up ion serebii)
tsunbeaa: coca-cola (they used to have that polar bear for their commercials)
baibanira: DQ (needs to be female)
iwaparesu: rock lobster (song reference)

and I also nickname my togekiss yakutori

I don't know if this is considered necroposting, I apologize if it is.

When I was a kid, I didn't pay any attention to naming my pkmns, it wasn't until FR/LG that I started giving every captured mon names. My best team, and the one I feel closer to, was from FR:

-Charcoal, the charizard
-Roxy, the pidgeot
-Foxxy, the flareon
-Skadi, the dragonair
-Gunmen, the graveler
-Lazengann, the poliwrath

My current HG team goes:

-Samantha, the scyther
-Suigintou, the crobat
-Rachel, the jynx
-Eldricht, the staryu
-Megaman, the graveler (love these guys)
-Bumblebee, the electabuzz

I'll always hold a special place in my heart for Mark, the haunter, who helped me immensely during an early run of FR.

Meh, it's only been a week so I really doubt it's a problem.

Love the FR team's names, and Eldricht is brilliant! Perfect name for a Staryu or Starmie.

It used to belong to my tentacruel in Plat, but I deleted the save by accident, so I lost him.

I've also been thinking on a few names for genV:

-Tesla, the denshura
-Ramses, the desukan
-Ghidorah, the sazandora

I rarely name them because it's difficult for me to remember. But, I remember one time, I named the all after my cousins.

I never used to name many, but I have began to more over the years.
I generally nickname my favourites, like Fluffy my Tyranitar.
The irony in the name just makes it great.

I give nicknames to almost all of my pokemon. That's too many nicknames to list. o-o
I'll list some of my favorite nicknames/Pokemon with nicknames:
Clefable- Fairy
Pachirisu- Sweetie (ironically, it was a male Pachirisu)
Spikey-Ear Pichu- Pichey
Shiny Staraptor- Shiny OMG (XD that was my reaction, yes)
Meowth- Wishy (I probably have multiple female Meowths with that name)
Chikorita- Jirachi (I know I have tons of Chikoritas, Bayleafs, and Meganiums with that same name)
Skitty- Skittle (I have multiple Skitties with this name)
Cherubi- Metamato (High five to anyone that knows what a Metamato is)
