No, I don't think that is really necessary. All that you essentially need to do is beat the Gyms and the Elite Four with Fire types, correct? So you can just swap out a Fire Type whenever Surf or Waterfall is needed.

Hmm I suppose you are right :) It'll be a while before I get my second fire type at the beginning of the game :lol: Misty will be really hard, Brock won't be too bad as long as I have metal claw :lol:

Surfing/Waterfall: l personally think you should use a Pokemon that can learn fire moves
and surf,like Nidoking.
