The flashlight wasn't really a problem in the old games, but I guess there's always room for improvement. I'm pretty psyched about Downpour, it's looking great so far, I just hope we get to see more monsters soon.

The only thing that bothers me about downpour is that the monsters seemed like just regular zombies from any other horror game, you see like two flashes of them at one point in the preview. I was kinda hoping for the monsters that have their arms tied around their backs and squirm when they walk, those were cool.

I'm kinda getting tired of the Patient pallet, I mean, it was in SH2, SH0 and Homecoming. I like the Creeper, with those long arms and legs. I also love how they're more controlled, they don't squirm and shake, they look more calculating and threatening.

I suppose, perhaps instead of the hospital theme they can aim for a mental hospital or perhaps a school house theme where the monsters are all teachers, little kids, and stuff?

0rigins already did the mental hospital. The theme to this one seems to be prison, so I'm expecting a lot of closed spaces.

I hope you don't go into a prison cell and get locked in with a monster, I don't wanna have to fight in a 5 by 5 ft space against a monster who wants to eat me, that'd be bad.

You wouldn't like 0rigins then, most of the boss battles are in VERY confined spaces. I loved that about 0, it was very claustrophobic.
I wonder what the bogeyman character in this game will be. Honestly, I'd love for the Butcher to come back, he was scary as heck.

But origins was designed for psp so it would not have had much of an ability to render large rooms so I wouldn't have cared for it in the first place, but I think homecoming and downpour look great, I almost bought Homecoming when it was on sale on steam for $3, I wish I would have.

What are you talking about, the mental asylum is one of the largest buildings in any SH game!
Homecoming is great, but combat can be very hard to get used to. The atmosphere is fantastic and disturbing, the story is great, and the main character is badpropane. Once you get the fire ax, you won't even bother finding ammo for your guns.

Lol, but isn't swinging an axe slow?
