I didn't know how far you were in the game, so, you finished it? That's cool

Yeah, when I first saw that unused enemy, I got freaked out by that, it is very spooky.
I also find the mailbox quite disturbing as well... but I have to agree that it is a very emotional game, I feel so bad for Claus though.

I started playing Earthbound beggings a while ago as well, but I never finished it.

So, if you were to rate every game in the Mother Series from 1-10, how would you rate them?

I would not say to talk about Claus, but there is too many jokes about this so people already know. Even when I knew, it still felt it was gonna be safe.
Well I can not rate mother 3 as well,
It crashed and I had to restart twice.(probably just bad luck on my part.
I will vote these on a then and now.

So the original.
Going how this was made for the NES and comparing it to other games at the same time, I would want to give it an 9.
But compared to now, I lower it to a 8.
The legendary Mother 2.
I somewhat have a biased on this game.
I like to imagine at the time no one cared for it excluded the people who played it.
So compared to other SNES games, it is a 7.
Compared now I raise it to a 10.
Age made it better? I don't know. It is one of my favorite I'd not the favorite SNES game
I don't think there is as good games now these days.
The hidden Mother 3.
Like I said the game crashed twice (mainly my fault.)and I had to use the debug room to get back to where I was at.
Compared to other GBA games, I honestly think it was the best one. So a ten.
Now I.will say a 8 or 9.
These scores are based off of what I played.
Also I used the easy ring in Mother which made the game better.
If I had to place in what I liked best,
I prefer adventure and going anywhere really.
So Earthbound is my favorite. (Do not know why I went from Mother 2 to Earthbound)
I would like to.replay Mother 3 so I can judge it better.
For now I will put old school mother with the third.

Things I did not like in each game.
First - game is too hard without easy ring.
Second- not that bad, sometimes enemies are hard.
Third- I somewhat feel I couldn't go anywhere I wanted.
But these are all minor things.
Next question (maybe it can be in the new topic, I know there is one other person here who played all the Mothers on this site.)
Which protagonist do you prefer and why.
Ninten, Ness, or Lucas.

I really like Ninten, he's underappreciated and I feel like he is kind of forgotten (one of my friends called Ninten a bootleg Ness, oof)

Do you think I should make an Earthbound talk thread or just keep it here?

I mean, Ninten came first, so technically ness is a bootleg Ninten .

I feel like there can be a good amount of post/talk in it.
I can try to rope in another user to the topic (who has played all the mothers.)

I never played Super Metroid. I will read it.
I will say go for it as long as you can finish it, or at least try to.
(Me being two faced in a play through post I did not finished.)
