I've loved the overhaul to the battle system. I love the new hud for the game. Both the HP bar and the new tracker for stats mid-battle. I think the only thing I didn't like was the slower pace of battles. That being said, it's not as slow as Gen IV and for that I'm grateful.

That being said. I've also just been playing other games.

Meanwhile I'll spend free time on trying to complete the alola pokedex. Its so much of a grind, however...

I've been doing it as I go, I'm near 50% already and I haven't beaten the game yet. Check out the Poké Pelago thread for some nice handy ways to train Pokémon without much effort.

Just took the one.

I'm debating whether or not to start using it immediately, cause my regular 3DS XL still works fine. Just got the Galaxy style since it's so popular and it was on sale.

Good call, some of the fishing stuff is tedious. I haven't caught a Dratini yet.
