-Trainer Customization (Initially, you can pick from 3 different designs for your trainer then as the game progresses you can customize clothes and accessories at a Boutique and Salon)
-Certain Pokemon can be ridden in certain areas.
-The brand new type is Fairy type. Jigglypuff, Gardevoir, Sylveon, Mawile, and Marill are all Fairy types.
-Sky Battles (you can fight "distant" trainers, those standing on a cliff or ledge or far away and of course only Pokemon that can fly are eligible)
-Horde Encounters (one of your Pokemon must take on multiple foes at once)
-Pokemon-Amie (you play with your Pokemon via the Touch Screen. Playing nicely and giving them treats they live increases friendliness which can increase performance in battle. But they are capable of not liking what you do)
-Photo Spot (basically you can take pictures)
-Player Search System (PSS) (you can find other people playing X&Y, nearby or globally)
-New forms called Mega Evolutions, certain Pokemon can change forms into Mega Forms (only during battle) if they are holding the correct item (generally called Mega Stone but name is unique to each Pokemon, i.e. Blazikenite and Lucarionite)
-Like some previous games, X&Y will be sold via a special download card in various retail stores across Japan (along with the regular hard copy and eShop download). You need at least 1.7GB available to download the game and if you have both versions downloaded onto the same platform they will not be able to communicate.
-Professor Sycamore will be giving you Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and Charmander (you pick one as usual) and that starter can Mega Evolve.
-It will be one of your friends who will give you a choice between Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie.
-Pokémon Bank is a Cloud Storage app for 3DS which allows for 100 boxes to be stored on the Internet. Pokémon Transporter includes connectivity to DS games. Pokémon can be sent to the Cloud and then transferred to Pokémon X & Y. Pokémon Transporter comes when you purchase Pokémon Bank.
-Pokémon Bank requires an annual fee.
-Special Red & Blue Nintendo 3DS XL have been announced for North America and Europe. They will be released on September 27th
-It is confirmed that you will need to obtain a bracelet called the Mega Ring that holds a mysterious stone called a Key Stone. The Trainer’s Key Stone resonates with the Mega Stone held by his or her Pokémon.
-Steel has lost it's resistance to Dark and Ghost (currently unconfirmed)
-No Kalos region Pokemon will get a MegaEvolution
-Ghost types are no longer affected by moves that prevent fleeing such as Mean Look. Grass Pokémon can't be seeded or affected by moves such as SleepPowder or Stun Spore. Electric types can no longer be Paralysed
