I'm considering starting a fire red save using only fire type pokemon, I know the first two gyms will be hard being rock and water, however I feel I will be able to complete the game using just a fire team.
I need a good range of crossing types, ie Charizard can learn fly etc.
I may become stuck when it comes to surfing, waterfall etc any idea on how to combat this?
What would you recommend?

The only thing you really can do is use HM Slaves...

What do you mean? You can get Fire Types that can learn Cut (Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard), Fly (Charizard Again), (Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard, Growlithe/Arcanine, Ponyta/Rapidash), and Rock Smash (Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard, Growlithe/Arcanine)... I realize that you probably don't want to load up your Starter and any other Fire types with HMs, but you really only need a single Pokemon with decent stats that can learn Flash, Surf, and Waterfall. For this, I suggest a Golduck. It has pretty good all-around stats, plus it can learn Surf, Waterfall, and Flash. You can have it learn those three plus one more strong move, even though Surf and Waterfall are both decent. Hope this helps!

In the terms of trying to sabotage someone if they follow through, yes. But that's cruel so I'll take it back. When I see topics of players wanting to use a single Pokemon type for a walkthrough, I tend to think they'll only use type attacks matching the Pokemon's type instead of a using other attack types that are different than the Pokémon themselves.catdogmouse wrote:...Was that supposed to be funny or something?SSJX wrote:Have a fire team, but only use fire attacks all the time against all types. lolol.

Problem is... You really can't use all fire-types. You're going to need at least a water type at times (For Surfing and such)
