I'm pretty excited for this, 3rd gen was my favorite (also I think my first ever pokemon game was Emerald).

I think that's actually more common than not. I loved the heck out of it myself, though. Hopefully the new looks and mechanics with the X/Y game engine will help get people more into it

Rather excited about this. However, this was the pokemon game that sunk me into the franchise. So my excitement is mostly due to nostalgia.
@Pira That's reasonable, it wasn't the most popular generation. On top of that, it had a different feel to it compared to the previous two in terms of environment and tone. You should at least look into it, perhaps they've changed it in ways you may enjoy.

I'm excited for these... I also think it's kind of funny that they decided to remake Ruby and Sapphire when people have been wanting a Emerald remake for so long

Yay!!! I got my 3ds now so maybe I'll be able to get one! I want the Alpha Sapphire! Maybe they will make one for Emerald version?
