I can not believe there is not a shiny thread here.(Well for all shinys.)

What shinys have you got? What do you want to get? Shiny stories? Best shinys? You know, stuff like that.

Might as well share one of my stories, I was playing Firered. I never played it before and thought it will be cool. Without thinking, I chose Squirtle as my starter and began my journey.

As soon as I got Pokeballs I went to go catch something. I thought I would catch the first thing I saw, as long as if it wasn't a rat. The first Pokemon I saw was a pidgey. Looking at itt closer, I saw it was a shiny. I was so happy as this was my first shiny I found in an actual Pokemon game.

Isn't shinys rarer in the older games? I also caught a shiny Onix way later, but the story was not as good. Took a lot of Pokeballs.

I have Pidgeotto right now and I am debating to take him off the team or not. Also is Steelix good, I might use him in the future.

Shiny Pokémon were 1 in 8,192 odds before generation 6, where they changed to 1 in 4,096. Though, there were various ways to increase those odds in Gen 2, and from Gen 4 on up, such as from Masuda Method, Poké Radar, and Friend Safari.

I've gotten tons of shinies over the course of my Pokémon games career... But some of my favorite ones:

Back when I was playing FireRed a lot, I jokingly told myself I'd go shiny hunt something, and one of the first Pokémon I caught after traveling around Kanto was a shiny Caterpie! Unfortunately, that Pokémon was actually lost when I restarted that game years later.

I got to be fairly good at Poké Radar in Diamond, and once I was hunting Zigzagoon. I ended up continuing until I ran out of Repels, but when I stopped I had 11 shiny Zigzagoon.

Once, I was playing though LeafGreen, and I was in the Safari Zone. I encountered a shiny Nidoran Female, and threw a Safari Ball... And it broke out and ran away. I think that's the only Shiny Pokémon I've actually failed to catch. Oh well.

I've done lots of Masuda Method (breeding with two foreign Pokémon for increased odds), since Diamond, and one time I got a shiny Snorunt on my birthday when hanging out with my friends.

I've had a few over the years. My most recent was my first chained shiny - a Ratatta in Let's Go Eevee. I was going with a NidoranM chain but I guess it was Ratatta who decided to have fancy colours.

I got a shiny Arctozolt on my second try in pokemon sword.

Been a while since I've shiny hunted in the main series game. My first shiny full odds was a random psyduck in HeartGold. The first shiny I hunted was eevee in Alpha Sapphire. I also hunted for shiny starter litten in Moon (and it was pain). As for the hunt I have currently on hold:

- Completing the beast trio on AS (only Entei left)
- Soft Reset Snorlax on Let's Go (Because overworld shiny are overated)
- Any Shiny in the safari of Heart Gold (mostly targeting Clefairy)
- Chikorita on Soul Silver (Tho since we theorically hunt the three of them, I'll probably have a couple of more phase, first one was a totodile)
- Cyndaquil in Silver (Have it on 3DS, so I don't have the savefile problem lol)
- Bunch of eevees on Diamond in shiny radar (3/8 for now)

I've enjoyed Pokémon for over 20 Years! And I've probably caught over 1,000 Shiny Pokemon or almost.
