Oshi plays bullethells and dies a whole lot

Hello Poliwagers both young and old!
You may have noticed that I am a stinky Touhou fan. I know how horrible, so why not milk that and make a forum post about it!
In this thread I'll like to try and play as much official Touhou games I can, and you guys get the privilege to make fun of me of how much I suck.
I might as well post a quick heads up on how I hope this thread works.

• We will be playing on normal difficulty. Easy is for wusses and this let's me keep it casual and milk the higher difficulties for future forum post.
  I might ignore this rule and play a higher difficultly for fun.

• Oh yeah I'm using no continues on this. That feels like cheating.

• I'll try to post a restart counter to show how many attempts this will take. Maybe even deaths too if I feel like it.

• Don't expect too much updates and images here. I got a real life you know.

• Yeah I don't really care what you guys post here, just don't get too off topic or I'll abuse my mod powers.

• Maybe I'll post a quick history on the game if I feel like it.

Awight! So let's begin this soon! The first game we are gonna play is Touhou 6 - Embodiment of Scarlet Devil.

As a stinky poo poo MMZ fan I'm also fascinated to see where this will go and will cheer you on (even though I'm pretty sure Touhou is wayyy harder than MMZ but whatever we both know what stress feels like). Oh thanks you guys hehe. Oh yeah I might as well explain it a bit.

The TL:DR of it, is that Touhou is a Japanese bullethell series that is hard. The game screen It's kinda like a long rectangle and you gotta move around, get power to level up your shots, and defeat the bosses that come your way. If you get shot even once, you die and lose a life. You also have a thing called bombs, which is basically just a get out of jail free card, screen wipe.

And so the battle begins! First things first we gotta choose what character and "shot type" we will be using for the run. A shot type is just how we shoot the bullets. This run we are gonna be using Marisa!

Stage 1
We actually do flawlessly on our first attempt with no deaths! I may be a casual gamer, but I'm still a gamer. Hehe

Stage 2
We lose a life or two on the stage now, and die to the boss. How embarrassing haha. Right now we don't really care for beating the boss though! We are just trying to find out the best places to shoot, dodge, and (well I don't know the exact term for it) positioning to make "chase" bullets easier to dodge. Chase bullets are ones that target where the player is at. You can move yourself in a way so that they take up less space and give you more room to live. Anyway was getting a but off topic, but we simply just need to practice more! We did beat the idiot on our third attempt!

Yeah we just died halfway through it haha. Here's to farther next time!

It started out as a video game iirc, but it does have a Manga! And if you want a reference, Reimu looks like this

You could of seen it in music things too, since Touhou is famous for their songs.

Awight so back again! We smack all those first three stages easily! The third boss is easy peasy after our two year training arc.

Stage 4
Oh yeah stuff is getting real here! Lots of bullets everywhere. This stage does have some enemies that when killed wipe the screen of bullets so we target them first! After long enough we meet the boss!

She is tough, but we eventually pull through!
Stage 5
Yeah we get our head absolutely handed to us. We are fighting a female maid Dio and she means business. We die. A lot

So yeah. We absolutely get destroyed by her funky spell cards. Oh well so begins the training arc. We just need to practice more and more against her. Just not die. And maybe even look up some gameplay or dodging tips against her.
