A long time ago I tried making a QnA thread and I don't think it went very far. However, now that these QnA things have been popping up I'm gonna just hop on the trend and...yeah you know what to do. Ask a silly or serious question and I might answer!

Good question. I do like Primarina, Reshiram, the Latis, Diancie, Meowstic, Gardevoir, Absol, Bisharp, Caeruledge (funny reference), Lurantis and even though it's not "competitively powerful", I do like Helioptile/Heliolisk as well

Yeah Poliwags are very cool! Gotta protect them from the French though.

Ah man don't make me choose! But assuming retro games as in NES/SNES games that I liked (opinion alert, also not in any real order, just listing things off)

1. Streets of Rage 2
2. Earthbound
3. Shining Force
4. Super Mario World/All Stars/Yoshi's Island
5. Super Metroid maybe. Alternatively Donkey Kong Country 1/2 and Street Fighter 2 was cool. And definitely Polybius and Hotel Mario.

(Okay I didn't say any NES games please don't get mad)
