For Uvalde, for the safety of all schools and children, for teachers to find hope in their jobs as this has been a very scary time.

I don't normally post in this thread, and I see it hasn't been posted in in a long time, but I think this is an appropriate revival to this thread.

It's been almost 12 years since my dad died. He had prostate cancer. Albeit that the cancer didn't kill him, his heart just gave out before the cancer got him, it's still heartbreaking to think about it sometimes. I got an email from the church I grew up in and found out that one of my friends from church camp whose grandparents have been attending since before my mom had me, their dad was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. My dad's diagnosis was at stage 4, it was all in his bones and throughout his body, and he somehow was lucky enough to live longer than 5 years after that diagnosis. I'm unsure of the state of my friend's dad... Her grandfather (the father of her dad) passed away about 4 years ago, so this is definitely a difficult and trying time again for their family. I would like to request prayers for the man who was diagnosed, as well as my friend's (his daughters), and his mom, other relatives, and their friends and loved ones that the future diagnosis looks much better than what my dad's was, and that there is a very high chance of him surviving cancer so he can be there for his kiddos a little longer! I believe one of them is almost done with her college education... I want her dad to see her succeed! It's something I didn't get to have as my dad passed away 7 months before I made it into high school... Prayers to everyone else who is struggling right now, whether it be in physical, mental, or spiritual health!
