Random Legendary Pokemon?

So I was doing my daily Poliwager adoptables routine of: Collecting soot, interacting with my berries, and then interacting with my eggs. Today I noticed that I only had one egg so I went to go adopt more. I adopted a random egg and checked it's rarity. I noticed it was legendary and was immediately confused. I checked my event page to see if I had missed any event pokemon that I have gotten but I couldn't find one. Does anyone know how this could have happened? I am not complaining but I am just confused. Is it possible to adopt random legendaries from the adopt page and I just never knew about it in my years of being on this site or something?

The same thing is happening to me with the lake trio uxie mespirit and azelf. They keep appearing on the adopt pages.
