Hey guys!

Today I bought a PlayStation 2 Slim model at a garage sale for cheap, and it works! It came with an NBA game, but I was wondering if there are any notable games for PS2 that you like a lot that I should check out? Leave your favorites below!

Dang PS2? I grew up with an N64. I would like to get an PS2 in the future (I remember seeing a box for one at my grandpa's house long ago.) I don't know any games for it sadly, well except one. I personally like the Klonoa series, (Wahoo) it is a platformer puzzle game. I enjoyed it. And you might too. The GBA games were also good.

I didn't play any PlayStation games growing up, either! This is my first system. I haven't heard of Klonoa, but I'll see if I can come across it someday!

I did play my (great) grandpa's playstation 2 when I visited his house quite a bit ago. I think he was trying to get me into FF 10, and not gonna lie. I did spend some good time in that game. He also had a gamecube, which I rarely played because I never know what to do in Zelda and I spend so long running around, I think I got to the 6th, 7th dungeon before I stopped playing. I decided to try the Playstation 1. Got an emulator for it on my 3DS. Might try it out again.

What's nice about the PS2 is that it can also play PSX games. So I'd recommend Metal Gear Solid for the PSX and Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 for the PS2 for a classic stealth game experience (and a lot of cutscenes). Okami for PS2 is honestly one of my all-time favorite game. It's wonderfully stylized action-JRPG based on Japanese mythology and folklore. Silent Hill 2 on the PS2 is great horror experience, and so is Resident Evil 4, although I'd recommend the Wii or Steam versions over the PS2 one tbh. Klonoa: Door to Phantomile for the PSX is a wonderful little platformer. Final Fantasy 7 and 8 on PSX are classic JRPGs, and Dragon Quest 8 on the PS2 is a favorite excellent (but the 3DS remake is even better).

There's a bunch of other excellent games, but these are my personal favorite! I tried to put a little of everything in there :D

Congratulations on your garage sale find! The PS2 Slim model is a great console with an impressive library of games to choose from. One game that comes to mind is blackout bingo, a fast-paced and addictive puzzle game that's sure to keep you entertained for hours. It's a great choice if you're looking for something that's easy to pick up but difficult to put down. If you're a fan of action games, "Devil May Cry" and "God of War" are both excellent options with intense combat and memorable characters. Of course, these are just a few suggestions. There are many more great games to discover on the PS2. Happy gaming!

Well..I still have a PS2 'cuz that is all I can afford but some of my favorites are some of the Ratchet and Clank games, Dragon Quest 8, Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter, The Spyro the Dragon games (not so much the New beginning and ones afterwards though) and basically whatever seems cool to me.
