Hey Oshi, how do I get a good start on sprites? I've been trying to draw some but they all look funny.

I just do it really. Most of the time I have been using a reference on what I am drawing. For those it is a trainer. Then I try to copy the outline of that thing. The trainer. Then once It looks good, I start to change the outline for what I need. Usually another reference. I sorta done 20 plushies of Pokemon with this strategy, but it could/ could not work for you. Maybe try the megaman sprites. That could be a start.

I made a recolor of Pansear and turned him into Salsa from Mother 3 (his collar isn't very visible so you'll have to zoom in)
