Back in early June, I sent out a Summer 2021 Survey and I asked everyone to fill it out with requests, suggestions, and info for me so I knew what to do to make the site better in the coming months. Well, it's the end of summer now, so what has happened so far? Let's go over a few of the things that have been updated on the site since then.
- First up, a major thing just added: There is a new Daily Lottery, called the Daily Radiant Rare Lottery! Every day at midnight, there will be a new Lottery, for one of the more "Rare" Pokémon on the site. In a slight twist for this part of the Lottery Corner, each ticket you buy will cost 100 Poké Dollars more than the previous, starting at 500, up to a maximum of 2,500 Poké Dollars per ticket. That's not all! Each egg that is given out for this Daily Radiant Rare Lottery will have a slightly increased chance of being shiny when hatching! Be sure to check out the new Lottery each day, and good luck!
- Daily Prizes for 15 days of Interactions in each rank. Each day, you can earn one of 3 prizes for getting interactions, 100 for Bronze, 500 for Silver, and 1,000 for Gold. Once you earn 15 in each rank over time, you will earn a bonus prize at the end of that night! Note that these do not have to be consecutive, so you can earn 4 Bronze in a row, then 1 Silver, and 4 Gold, and it keeps track of each rank. This is a nice way to get new awards such as Mystery Boxes and Space Tickets! What do these do? You'll have to earn a Gold prize a few times to find out and then visit the Events page to see more!
- You can now see the last time a user has interacted with you during a day by either hovering over their username on desktop, or by going to the My Pokémon page on mobile. This should help you click back users who were online recently and also clicked you again!
- Also on mobile, the main page has been updated to show the Daily Prize progress more prominently, and the profile pages have been updated to more closely match the desktop version, now including things like user stats and View Pokédex links.
- Pokémon eggs adopted from the Shelter now award 25% more Egg Steps when you click on your own eggs that were bred from someone else. Adopting an egg from the Shelter also awards a few more Poké Dollars than before! In addition, on average, each interaction will give all eggs slightly more Egg Steps to help them hatch a little faster than before.
- Walking around at Mt. Chimney now awards more Soot each hour that you visit than before. This should help you get to earning a Red Orb and summoning Groudon faster! Good luck!
- The Pokédex page has been updated with more search features so you can search your Pokédex and see what you still need to fill in. In addition, the Pokédex now shows the last 5 (3 on mobile) species that have been updated in your Pokédex, including newly adopted and older updated ones! This stat is not retroactive, but going forward, each egg you hatch or Pokémon you evolve will keep track of the last time you obtained it. Also, you can see the last time your Pokédex was updated for each Pokémon by going to its individual page in the Pokédex.
- New Poliwager Merch, featuring @Oshi's Big Political design! Be sure to check these out if you haven't yet.
- Oshi has also helped work on a new style for the Poliwager Adoptables, the Emolga and Victini style! Check if out if you haven't yet, it's definitely a nice fall colored theme.
