December 2021 Events + Community Weekend [Ice-type]!

Happy Holidays!

It's Winter and time to celebrate! Let's get into the monthly events, shall we?



To start with, all month there will be a Pokémon familiar to some of you appearing! Winter Tangela will be available to adopt, so be sure to get one or two before they disappear in the springtime!

Additionally, Christmas Tropius will be appearing from December 23 through December 26, so be sure to get one before they disappear for the holiday. Christmas Eve (December 24), Christmas Day (December 25), and New Year's Eve will all have big multipliers for interactions and views, so be sure to adopt some eggs those days as well!

Now, onto the monthly event:

This month will be a Snowball Collecting and Throwing event! You can find either Glistening or Sparkling Snowballs by adopting Pokémon or interacting with Pokémon and eggs. You will be randomly placed into one team, and you can collect your Snowballs, or, by going to the Events page, throw your Snowballs at the opposite team! By collecting at least 100 Snowballs, you'll receive a prize egg at the end of the month. In addition, the team with the most Snowballs collected will receive another prize egg, and the team with the most Snowballs thrown will receive yet another prize egg. December Community Weekend!


Community Weekend is a weekend each month aimed towards gathering as a community here on Poliwager Forums, with various bonuses on Poliwager Adoptables. This month's Community Weekend will be from December 17-19! This month's Community Weekend Bonus-type is Ice-type! More of the Bonus-type eggs will appear on Poliwager Adoptables during the weekend and Exp. bonuses will apply to any Bonus-types that you interact with or post here on Poliwager Forums. Add your Bonus-types to your party and signature here and adopt some new ones during Community Weekend!

Community Weekend Details:

• Community Weekend goes from Friday at 12:00 AM until Sunday at 11:59 PM.
• More details can be found on the Events page during the Community Weekend.
• A bonus Pokémon type is chosen for the weekend.
• Extra 50% Experience from Interactions for the bonus Pokémon type.
• Extra 50% Experience from Views for the bonus Pokémon type if shared on Poliwager Forums.
• Extra 50% Experience while Pokémon Camping for the bonus Pokémon type.
• More of the bonus Pokémon type to adopt.
• A higher chance of hatching a Shiny bonus Pokémon type.
• A multiplier on Poliwager Adoptables to help you hatch even more eggs and raise your Pokémon faster.
• A few random Bonus-type Pokémon are viewable on the Events page to help them level up. Refresh to see more.
• Bronze Community Weekend Interactions Medal - Bonus type Pokémon that get more than 10 Interactions during the weekend
• Silver Community Weekend Interactions Medal - Bonus type Pokémon that get more than 20 Interactions during the weekend
• Gold Community Weekend Interactons Medal - Bonus type Pokémon that get more than 30 Interactions during the weekend
• Bronze Community Weekend Views Medal - Bonus type Pokémon that get more than 15 Views during the weekend
• Silver Community Weekend Views Medal - Bonus type Pokémon that get more than 30 Views during the weekend
• Gold Community Weekend Views Medal - Bonus type Pokémon that get more than 50 Views during the weekend
• Pokémon and their eligible Medals can be found on the Pokémon Stats page during the Community Weekend.

Wow ice type. Pretty cool! Oh hey my birthday is really soon too.

And I can't really think of any ice types. All I really need to do is identify them to know to swap Emolga haha

Snowball! Hmm... snowball is such a tempting event for me, but I still slightly dislike that only one team member can win the whole thing for a team. Oh well who cares it's all in good fun.

I can't think of my favorite ice type. I don't really use them. Wait actually forget I said that shiny arctozolt is my favorite ice type.
I liked the snowball event last year so I think this will be fun. Let's go team glistening snowball!

My first time participating in a snowball event! Really excited. Sparkle that snowball!

Ice is one my favorite types so I can't wait for community weekend! Ice types need to get more love, they're such a small but beautiful group. I adore pretty much all of them but my favorites are Spheal, Swinub, Bergmite, Snover, Froslass, and Articuno! I really like the designs of ice-types introduced in Gen 5, 7, and 8 too, even though I don't have much personal connection with them since I haven't played those games.

Hey all, I’ve been not feeling the greatest today unfortunately so I will hopefully post a real January 2022 event topic tomorrow, but since not many people have obtained 100 Snowballs, the Snowball event will be extended through the end of January! Happy New Year!
