It's upcoming soon, on February 27, 2025! This will be the 29th anniversary of the first Pokémon games, released in 1996.
As always, rumors and speculation has gone ablaze with the upcoming Pokémon Day. What do you think will happen, what do you hope will happen, and what are your most unhinged hopes of what we'll see announced?
I think we're going to get more info on Pokémon Legends: Z-A. I hope we get some older games re-released on the Switch, gens 1-3 would be awesome, especially as prices of these older games are still going up on the used market, and younger fans especially can't easily get them right now. We'll probably get some minor event updates for games like Pokémon Go and Pokémon Sleep and Pokémon TCG Pocket, but otherwise, I don't know what else to expect this time around. We just got a new mobile game a few months ago, but there could always be a new side game announced for the Switch. But then again, maybe we'll not see one announced until the Switch 2 details come out more in April.

Oh we are definitely getting a lot of update stuff relating to the mobile games as we usually do. I know folks don't really play this much, but I am a bit curious about the new stuff they'll add for Pokemon Cafe ReMix since I got back into it.
But more importantly, I don't have much speculation. I'm just looking out for the Legends: Z-A news. There's gotta be stuff... Though I imagine they will announce one more new thing? There's a part of me coping and hoping that they talk about Pokemon Mystery Dungeon again but. Probably not. Still - I hope for Legends: Z-A stuff in particular, we learn about the starters and maybe a new regional form or two.

I really enjoyed the news. I'm excited for the possiblities with Pokemon Z-A and the new battle features. Also Mega Meganum better finally get the love it deserves.
