Safari Week (June 20th-29th, 2025)!

Hey everyone! I first heard about Safari Week a couple years ago, and last year I did some hunting! I didn't manage to find a shiny, but this year I hope to! Here's last year's topic: viewtopic.php?t=2819

I invite you all to join me in shiny hunting in the Safari Zone on any Pokémon game you want to play on (or more than one)!

One of the shiny hunting users in the Pokémon community, Absol (Matt, AbsolBlogsPokemon) shared the "official" dates for this year's Safari Week: June 20th-29th (a week + extra weekend). Feel free to participate whenever you're able to, and share what you're hunting and found here!



How it works:

• Look for Shiny Pokémon in the Safari Zone in the following games:
  • FireRed/LeafGreen (Fuchsia City)
  • HeartGold/SoulSilver (north of Route 48)
  • Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald (Route 121)
  • Diamond/Pearl/Platinum (Great Marsh, Pastoria City)
  • Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire (Route 121)
  • Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl (Great Marsh, Pastoria City)
• Since Pokémon can run away in the Safari Zone, or you can run out of Safari Balls, it makes the hunt more exciting!
• Share what you found or are hunting in this thread! Pictures encouraged!

I'm not sure what games I'll choose this time around, but probably some of the gen 4 games, and maybe Brilliant Diamond when I'm at home! Good luck everyone!

Last year I was hunting on Pearl and Shining Pearl, and I plan to continue to hunt on those games this go around! It'll give me an excuse to pull out my 2DS and 3DS systems to have some fun, haha -- I honestly think it'd be a good time of year to also start playing Brilliant Diamond as well. That way I have something to play on the side in case I get to where I want in Shining Pearl to hunt for a shiny Palkia! Good luck to everyone on their hunts this year!
