Pokémon Day 2026

So what do you guys think we will see on Pokémon Day? Hopefully this year will be a really exciting Pokémon Presents considering it’s the 30th Anniversary!

I think the obvious is we will see some spin off game updates and the ending with Gen 10 reveal.

We’ll probably finally get an update on Col/XD on the switch which will be cool, tho personally if it’s not HOME compatible I’d probably not care as much.

Speaking of, maybe the HOME update will be discussed on Pokémon Day. Still waiting for Pokémon Z-A compatibility.

Now some more less likely predictions

• Gen 1-3 on the Switch. It’s definitely possible.
• Gen 4-5. Now I don’t know if it’s possible so probably not see it.
• New Spin Off game announcement. Maybe but we do have Pokopia coming up already so probably not.

Wishes that probably won’t happen

• Switch 2 Edition upgrades of older Pokémon Switch Titles such as SV.
• Pokémon Quest 2
• Magikarp Jump 2
• PokePark 3
• My Pokémon Ranch 2
• Nintendogs but Pokémon
• SV update to add Paradox Keldeo

Lastly, since it’s the 30th Anniversary, I’d expect a celebration similar to ten years ago with a year of legendary distributions including unreleased shiny Pokémon. Would be nice to get shiny Ogerpon or Kubfu finally.

I'm really excited to see what they do for the 30th anniversary. I understand that anniversaries don't necessarily mean they have stuff that lines up with that year, but it's still an exciting thought!

I keep wanting old games on the Switch (as standalone purchases, please!), but as the years go by it seems less likely unfortunately. But maybe for the 30th anniversary we will finally get them! I just think it's a good thing for the series to have older games available to younger audiences especially. Not everyone can/wants to buy a 30 year old game system that may need repairs and costs a ton used to play an old game.

Pokopia is launching soon so we'll probably see at least a small new snippet of a trailer of it.

Generation 10, while I want to be excited, I'm gonna remain cautiously optimistic because the last couple games have felt lackluster in a lot of ways for me. But we'll see!

Pokemon Home updates would be welcome, like making it more interactive for all the Pokemon you have stored in Home, similar to what My Pokemon Ranch allowed you to see.

I’m excited to see a brand new set of starters again. It really feels like it was yesterday when I saw the Gen 9 starters for the first time. I really hope we get some good ones.

It’s odd because I realized not too long ago that SwSh has the weakest starters by design. The pre evos are great but the final evos are kinda mid.

SV gave us at least two good starters designs which is what usually happens each generation. Gen 3 is the only exception because I like all three designs almost equally.

I wonder what animals the Gen 10 starters will be based on.
