Gen 10 has been finally announced and we got to see the new starter Pokémon!

Browt the Bean Chick Pokémon

Pombon the Puppy Pokémon

Gecqua the Water Gecko Pokémon

Additionally we got info that the player characters will have different outfits depending on the version.

Also we got two interesting Pikachu.
Mr. Windychu and Ms. Wavychu.
They appear to look like shiny Pikachu.

Are you guys excited?! Who is your favourite starter? For me I’m excited for Gecqua the most but I also like Pombon. Also the game looks amazing! It’s a Switch 2 exclusive so the new power boost helped a lot, plus it won’t release until 2027 so it’s going to have A LOT of development time. This might be the best Pokémon games yet!

I think compared to the last couple Pokemon games, this game looks pretty promising! The graphics are smooth and I like the idea of being underwater for a bunch of the game! Obviously we have a lot of time before the game launches next year so we have plenty of time to see what else they'll show us in the future, but I'm excited. I guess I'll have to get a Switch 2 at some point.

Waiting until 2027 for the next Pokémon game is going to be hard. Waiting for PLZA was hard enough but the fact WiWa will get more development time while the reveal trailer looks good and promising, is making me excited. I truly believe this will finally be the Pokémon game that ends all the big complaints of the modern games.

I’m also excited to discover what new stuff will be in the game. New mechanics and maybe we finally we will get an actual good mini game since the Underground.

Now the BIGGEST thing is the fact WiWa won’t be datamined so all information will have to be manually obtained from the community including secrets and shiny hunting mechanics. We might even get a LGPE/SwSh situation again where the mechanics will be misunderstood for years. Additionally GameFreak can now hide new Pokémon and forms so they don’t have to scrub them out from the game.

Speaking of, they can probably release a Demo on the eShop without fear of it being datamined and leaked which would be awesome since we haven’t had a demo since LGPE but not a demo with an exclusive gift since SuMo so hopefully we can get a demo for WiWa and maybe have a new Pokémon or form.
