So every generation has an Early Route Normal Type Pokémon. Some Generations even have more than one! All Early Route Normal type Pokémon will be listed below. This list does not include Early Route Bird Pokémon.

Gen 1: Rattata -> Raticate
Gen 2: Sentret -> Furret
Gen 3: Zigzagoon -> Linoone
Gen 4: Bidoof -> Bibarel
Gen 5: Patrat -> Watchog
Lillipup -> Herdier - Stoutland
Gen 6: Bunnelby -> Diggersby
Gen 7: Youngoos -> Gumshoos
Alolan Rattata -> Alolan Raticate
Gen 8: Skwovet -> Greedent
Wooloo -> Dubwool
Galarian Zigzagoon -> Galarian Linoone -> Obstagoon
Gen 9: Lechonk -> Oinkologne

My favourite is Zigzagoon. It’s adorable and has the best ability Pickup. Additionally Linoone can learn many HMs so it is very useful. You can bet how excited I was to see Galarian Zigzagoon for the first time and that it got a new evolution Obstagoon!

I also like Furret, Lillipup, and Wooloo. I also like Bibarel but only because it can learn many HMs which is very handy in Gen 4, otherwise it’s not very good looking. Even the other Early Route Normal Type Pokémon are kind of boring. At least Diggersby gets Huge Power.

Who is your favourite Early Route Normal Type Pokémon and why?

Sentret is my favorite! Furret and Sentret are both super cute. I also really like Rattata, it's a classic, and Bidoof is a fun one too. Bidoof gets a lot of hate but I think he's derpy in the right ways.
