Sorry for the delay! I haven't played much lately, but here is my update:

I've been carrying the Pokéwalker with me on my daily excursions, and have gotten a lot of new Pokémon to add to my collection. I've been walking with an Oddish, and it's now level 17, but I just caught a Dratini using the Pokéwalker and I think I'll level her up!

I beat the first gym, and got the Zephyr Badge! Before going into the gym, I got the couple of eggs using this neat trick. I also adventured through Sprout Tower and got the HM for Cut. I got the Mystery Egg, and then made my way through Union Cave and made it to Azalea Town. I tackled the Team Rocket group in the Slowpoke Well, and I've gotten my very own Apricorn Balls now.

My team is as follows:
- Quilava - Level 16
- Sentret - Level 14
- Mareep from one egg!
- Slugma from one egg!
- 2 Eggs!

Onto the next gym! I suppose maybe I should catch a Pokémon or two for my team before then... Any suggestions?

I mean. You already have the dream team here. I can't remember what my team was. But Dratini is a good keep. To keep. You could either use the best pokemon, or the pokemon that have type advantages and are stronger then others.

Also I think you should use マグマラシ(quilava I used google translate) for bugsy.

Wow it sure has been a long time since I updated you guys!

My trainer is the boy character.

I’ve caught a Heracross, evolved Furret and Quilava, beaten the 2nd and 3rd gyms, and have traveled through Ecruteak City to Olivine City! They are all level 23, and I’ve not decided on what else to catch. Any suggestions? I’m thinking something water or rock type perhaps.

After weeks of no updates, I'm back!

I have explored Olivine City, gotten Surf and started training a Wooper. I beat Morty, and got my 4th badge! In the process, Wooper evolved into Quagsire!

-Quagsire, Level 22
-Quilava, Level 24
-Furret, Level 25
-Heracross, Level 25

Ah sweet! Four badges and only four pokemon? You're playing like a mad man Slix!

Makes me think, do I have any game runs I have not completed yet?

Anyway slix you should get a milotic! Oops wrong game. I think you should get a pokemon to counter fighting type Pokemon because apparently there are a lot of fighting types in this game.

You should get an Emolga slix haha. I heard they also counter fighting types.

Wow, it has been a long time since I last posted here! As I prep for Safari Week, coming up soon, I wanted to check out my Japanese HeartGold game again and see if I can use it for that hunt.

I pick up from where I was last time, at the Lake of Rage, with 6 badges and the team of:

-Quagsire, Level 27
-Quilava, Level 26
-Furret, Level 26
-Heracross, Level 26

Unfortunately I don't recall where exactly I was in the story, so I will probably have to backtrack a little bit and see!
